On the Cover of...

One never knows when one's original art is going to be the perfect image for a project; it can happen years later - so hang on to those old drum scans, slides and negs. My supersized plein air painting Tunnel Through the Rockies (Sense and Sensibility, late 1990s)  was recently put to new use as the cover art for the 2018 vinyl release,  En Las Montañas de Excesos, a "rock free and Lovecraftian" album by  Chris Cogburn, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Henry Kaiser, and Bob Hoffnar.

My paintings and photography have been installed as the 2D visuals for a number of music releases over the years. The list of them is long, but my favourite might be this: several of my original paintings were used on Kittie's 1999 release "Spit" on Artemis Records. One was a watercolour. Yup! Of a spiked collar.

Thanks for looking! - Brandy
